Until May 2023, our established process for monitoring the COVID transmission rate for Tioga County and then issuing awareness emails, service announcements, and exterior door masking signage has been based on the CDC website that has been updated with current data weekly. The CDC has now issued the following: “As of May 11, 2023, COVID Data Tracker is no longer reporting… COVID-19 Community Levels, COVID-19 Community Transmission Levels…”
Since transmission levels are no longer being reported, we have no basis on which to issue future transmission level awareness information. Therefore, the posting of “Low,” Medium,” and “High” transmission rates by NVUMC will be discontinued effective immediately, until such time as it is re-instituted by the CDC.
As COVID is still present at some level, it will continue to be a personal decision to wear a mask or not. It is a heartfelt request that everyone respect the personal decision and vulnerable health status of others. If you choose to wear a mask, please feel fully comfortable in doing so. If you are experiencing cold-like symptoms, please consider wearing a mask to protect others. Thank you for your consideration.
The links to various Zoom meetings have been moved to a new page on this site. If you point your mouse to EVENTS at the top of the page, the drop down listing will include ZOOM LINKS. Click on it for a list of buttons for the active meetings.
